ARTE Creative presents PICTURE THIS

I was recently contacted by Alain Bieber, the project manager of ARTE Creative. Before coming on board with ARTE Creative, he worked as a journalist for a German ART magazine, was a blogger , curator, and recently wrote a book about art & activism. He is now working in France, for the french-german TV-station ARTE and doing a user-generated-platform ARTE Creative. The idea is to have curated Vimeo/YouTube with partnership (art schools, museums, institutions), user-generated-content and some journalistic formats (for graphic design, photography etc.) – formats like From Sketch and Ignat: Work in Progress.

But Alain has also created PICTURE THIS, where one international photographer a month is asked to answer 10 questions with a photographic response. It’s a great way to learn about visual artists!

As an example, I am featuring the responses of Johan Rosenmunthe, a freelance photographer based in Copenhagen, working with portraits, fashion, illustration, magazines, reportage and interior photography. He is educated from Fatamorgana the Danish School of Art Photography, and is also working as an artist. His visual answers follow:

Who are you?

What did you look like as a child?

What is your main character trait?

What inspires you the most?

What do you normally never take a picture of?

What do you love about photography?

If you weren’t a photographer what would you be?

What is the first thing you touch in the morning?

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

And by the way: What is the meaning of life?
