International Women’s Day Centenary – Female Focus, 20 more

I received a lovely email a day or so ago from Kelly Hill suggesting some women photographers for Female Focus. As she went to the trouble to list so many I’m including her list of 21. Kelly is a photographer herself – I just checked – so I’ve also linked to her website (spreading link love). However, I’ve taken out women photographers who are no longer alive, for example Francesca Woodman, but will keep these names back for another grouping of women who are no longer with us.

As I just got back from Cardiff last night and am a bit bushwhacked, Kelly’s contribution couldn’t come at a better time. Some of these names have been in Hotshoe, others haven’t. Those that have been published in the magazine I’ll indicate with an * as I look through the back issues and will put the date beside them, so I don’t duplicate names.
